Transparency & Security

Privacy Policy

Your files belong solely to you. Learn about our strict technical commitments to protecting your personal data.

Zero file uploads to external servers

The foundational principle of LocalFileNest is local execution of algorithms directly inside your device's browser.

1. Local Processing of Your Files

When you choose an image, PDF, or Office document on LocalFileNest, it is read directly into your device's RAM using the browser's native FileReader API and processed locally via Web Workers, Canvas, or WebAssembly.

At no point in time are your raw files or documents transmitted to, or stored on, remote web servers or third-party cloud infrastructure.

2. Personal Data & Cookies

LocalFileNest operates completely without user accounts. We do not collect names, email addresses, usernames, or passwords.

We do not employ cross-site tracking cookies or intrusive advertising networks. The only item saved to your browser is your manual language selection (EN or FR) via localStorage so your preference is remembered on return visits.

3. Temporary Memory & Instant Cleanup

Files created after compression or conversion are packaged as temporary Blob object URLs (such as blob:https://...). These memory references are automatically garbage-collected and erased as soon as you close or refresh the active browser tab.

4. Standard Web Server Logs

As with all static websites, the hosting server delivering HTML, CSS, and JS assets may log standard technical connection metadata (e.g. client IP address, browser user-agent, timestamp) solely for network security and content delivery integrity.
